  • The Egyptian Dental Association is considered to be one of the oldest global dental association specializing in Oral and Dental health care. 
  • The EDA was founded in 1937, established by a group of compassionate and committed professors and dentists with a goal to deliver recent knowledge and current updates in the dental field thus ensuring the well-being of their patients and the advancement of their specialty.
  • Its Bi-annual International Dental Congress is attended by more than 10,000 dentists from all over Egypt, Middle East countries and from all over the globe. EDA seeks to provide a platform for partnerships from all over the world aiming to move the sector forward.
  • The Egyptian Dental Journal (EDJ) was issued by the EDA at 1955. EDJ is considered to be one of the leading peer-reviewed dental journals in Egypt and Middle East countries supporting researches from different dental specialties aiming to advance the specialty; and to support its fellows and members through education, research and advocacy.

Vision:

  • We aim to support and provide dental education and research for dentists all over Egypt and Middle East countries for better health care services to our community and to contribute to the public welfare.

Mission:

  • The Mission of the EDA is to confirm excellence in patient care by promoting, protecting and advancing the different dental specialties, and the skills and professionalism of all dentists regional and in the Middle-east. We aim to provide a mean of self-determination relating to professional standards, ethical behavior and responsibilities of its fellows and members.

  • EDJ is a scholarly peer-reviewed, quarterly regional refereed journal that is published on January, April, July and October. The embraces a lot of topics in oral and dental sciences including both basic and clinical parts.
  • The Journal is devoted to publish original research articles, review article and also case report, covered in many areas of Dental & Oral Sciences. The editors will professionally select manuscript to present the most recent findings in basic and clinical sciences.
